So who's going?

I'll be there Wednesday - Monday so will see all 4 days of the show. It will be my last airshow working as part of the RAF so hopefully the weathers nice for us.

I've found on another forum the display list and timings for those that are interested. And for anyone who hasn't been before I highly reccomend it. A great free airshow.

I always watch it from the location of the old imax (but I'm working) my sister and brother in law with the kids go on the beach close to bournemouth pier that way my brother in law can dig his usual 4ft hole to put the kids in laugh

My parents and grandparent always go on to the cliff you'll be further back from the display but slightly higher.

There's so much to see and do along the sea front and winter gardens that I'd say it's better to just walk along and stop each time there's a display.

have I got this right that the Bournemouth and shoreham airshows are the same weekend? Which ones best?
Bournemouth is free shoreham is not. A lot of the aircraft display at one then transit along the coast to the other.

Saw various Spitfires etc fly over Crowborough today, presumably on route to Shoreham and some then on their way to Bournemouth.
Probably shoreham the only spitfires at bournemouth is the ex-BBMF spitfire now owned by rolls royce and the 2 BBMF spitfires.

Also the above post mentions lancasters. 1 lancaster will still be flying tomorrow with the spitfire tail chase which is an impressive display "weather dependant"

Bin the helicopters and other slow stuff and bring back the role demo & F16.
You'll be pleased to know then it was the last display season for the army air corps lynx display, and the chinook mk2 display (although most people say that's a highlight) I also think the black cats are impressive. The merlin/lynx in the beach assault is probably the only pointless display as most people can't see what's going on.

My highlight was the sea vixen, canberra and hunter flypast with a superb break at the end. I think it could be the highlight of the whole season.
