BBC said:
A display of 22 military aircraft from nine countries will fly over Newport and Cardiff during the Nato summit.

The RAF's Red Arrows will be joined by fighters from the USA, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Poland, Portugal and the Netherlands.

The flypast takes place over the summit at the Celtic Manor Resort on Friday 5 September at 09:00 BST.

People are advised to get the best view of the planes from Cardiff Bay at 08:30 BST.

In Newport, the display is expected at about 08:45 BST to the south of the city centre, over Spytty Park, Beechwood Park and Lliswerry.
Never know, might be a few in the area that want to do a bit of spotting. Not sure I could be bothered to get there through the traffic.

Not sure. The Bay indicates from that way perhaps? Be interesting where they form up or what ever the nautical term is.

Damn it, Typhoon over my house and camera tucked away. Did not think I would see it this far west.

Thinks. Often get the normal stuff heading for Cardiff Airport depending on the wind. Something for a few plane enthusiasts at the airport?

Edit, dagnabit,,,,, not on radar 24, 2 prop transport thingy

Ah ok C-160 Transall then
Thats him, after looking it up. The wide bits at the bottom (landing gear storage?) obvious from the angle I saw.

Oh well, another fits the bill. I saw it from the rear, two engines, over the top wings and them pods where the landing gear go in.

Think there were a few pictures on BBC of a giant tube of glue and a giant air fix box and finger prints all over it.

Edit.
