A fighter drops a napalm for fun at an airshow. Nice massive ploom of black smoke, no doubt filled with chemicals, CO2 and other nasty gasses. All in the name of a fun airshow, with mock fighting and warfare in the background.

Anyone else think this is slightly strange?

Although I admit that it does look cool; it's a military weapon heavily critised when used - just seems very odd to show this off in a "cool" way at an airshow.

The amount of CO2 will be utterly trivial; probably less than from the fuel the plane burnt in the demonstration. I've no idea what other nasty chemicals might be in whatever it dropped, though.
Ok let me rephrase as this wasn't meant to come across as an eco-warrior post, I'm aware that volcanoes also contribute considerably to CO2 levels!

It's more of a bh that I will have to pay £500 a year to insure an E92 M3 because of "co2 and emissions", but this goes on in the world. laughcurse

FFS that's a news story? It happens all the time at American airshows. We do it on a smaller scale at some UK airshows too. Must be a VERY slow news day.
When will they get bored and ferry spectators over to an island to watch a "small tactical nuke?"
