A Good Test Pilot Autobiography/Memoirs Book?

A friend recommended a good book written by a test pilot a while ago, but I can't remember which one it was. I want to buy my Dad such a book for Christmas - can anyone recommend a good one? I'm looking at Tony Blackman and Eric Brown at the moment.
