Genuine Messerchmitt Bf109E Sold To UK collector
Discussion
Sounds like Bf109E "White 14" could be making an appearance at UK airshows next year - apparently it's been sold to a "UK collector". I wonder if it's TFC?
Can't wait to see that.

Would the TFC have the money? Be great to have a proper Me109 back in UK skies soon
Dunno, from what I've heard there are a few aircraft being sold from UK based collections. No idea whose they are or where they're going. TFC never seem to be exactly short of a couple of quid though.Mutley said:
So could be the Heritage Hangar guys?
Either way, an aeroplane that is a major part of aviation history is coming to us
Could be argued that, it's coming back to us.....Either way, an aeroplane that is a major part of aviation history is coming to us
As, it spent quite a bit of time when new coming across the channel on a regular basis to visit us and then over half a century later it was rebuilt here in the UK by Craig Charleston, before being shipped to Chino, USA for final systems fit and test flying.

I did mention that above, next summer it will be 75 years, there is a chance that it would have been in the skies at the same time as SPITFIRE Mk 1 P9374 (the Calais beach restoration). What a pair it would be to see them in the air together next year. As, it spent quite a bit of time when new coming across the channel on a regular basis to visit us and then over half a century later it was rebuilt here in the UK by Craig Charleston, before being shipped to Chino, USA for final systems fit and test flying.
