With a very heavy heart, it’s time to sell my boat after 10 years of ownership. Trouble is – she’s mid-way through a full refit project, and with an agreed house purchase in the pipeline and a growing baby I want to sell quickly. Sure – I’ve put her on eBay with a 99p start – but where else might be a good place?

Many thanks.

Thanks - just corrected the link. Was concentrating too hard on making the picture work...

Apollo duck has worked well for me recently. More boat people and fewer dreamers (who pull out) than eBay.

Btw, I didn't know we had started a 'using the missus to sell the boat' thread to rival the long running car version!!!
She's not my missus, but a very efficient (and fearless) young lady crewmember who helped me take her down through the French canals.

Where's that car thread - I feel my boat should be included!!

I've had to re-list as the description didn't comply with eBay's rules.

Please see and 'watch' the boat at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172089883782

Sorry for any inconvenience.

With 115 watchers and fierce bidding this afternoon - it looks like eBay might produce an acceptable sale.

Just an update - she reached £3,200 in the eBay auction, against a reserve of £5,000. The highest two bidders didn't respond to eBay messages, so I've relisted her at £2,000 or best offer.

Fingers crossed!
