mail article but got a good time lapse of it being built and plenty o pictures of it sailing in. What a monster. The third such monster in their fleet. They must be making serious coin in the cruise world to have had 3 of these billion dollar beasts so far and a 4th on the way.
Impressive bits of engineering though, I find them absolutely fascinating.

Is it not sailing to Barcelona today?
Something like that, but think it's coming back tomorrow or Thursday. Then it leaves again on Friday. Trevatanus said:
Just drive to the docks, I doubt you'll fail to spot it.
I remember going to a submarine museum with my dad as a kid, and we were the opposite side of the museum, across a stretch of water full of fishing boats and the such. My dad pointed out the submarine, and for whatever reason, my eyes failed me. The masts of the boats etc put me off and it took me a good 2-3 minutes to finally see this huge submarine sitting on the other side of the water so you never know Otispunkmeyer said:
Think its going to the Nederlands first, then onto Barcelona and it'll do the med for summer. I think its in Southampton docks for the rest of the week, leaves for Rotterdam on the 22nd.
There are a couple of short runs, to Holland then Cherburg next week. she heads to Barcelona on the 29th and we'll be on board for the week it takes to get there. It is surprising on the really big ships (we've been on one of her sister ships before) that other than, for instance, the lifeboat drill, you rarely notice how many are on board.FourWheelDrift said:
Does it really have only 18 lifeboats for over 8,880 people or are there some more elsewhere?
Are they double decker lifeboats?
