PH Cooking Competition 15 takes us to curry heaven. Please do jump on board and try your hand at an authentic Indian curry of your choice.

I am talking Rogan, Madras, Vindaloo, Korma, Dhansak, Jalfrezi, Bhuna, Dupiaza etc etc etc. Kick Patak's and Sharwood's to the kerb and throw away your jars of processed filth. Instead, toast your spices, chop those onions, bone that meat and knead that naan!

Are you with us?

Usual rules apply:

3 photos to include ingredients, cooking and finished dish
2 weekends to give people chance to participate

The poll will end on tuesday 1st November.

Feel free to add any accompaniments to your meal such as rice or breads. Use whatever meat or veg you prefer.

Good luck you curry fiends!

Are we limited to indian sub-continent curry or can we extend to asian curry ? I could recreate some of the malaysian and indonesian dishes from Photo of Your Dinner thread. I have a particular re-run in mind, although I also have a sub-continent dish too (although it is Bangladeshi in origin).
I wanted to keep it away from Thai red or green curries. Everything else is fine.

Yours, The Colonel.

Can we stretch the usual rules of 1 ingredients + 1 in progress + 1 finished to allow a couple more for the finished product?

Otherwise if people producez a number of dishes (as is common with curry) we're not going to be able to see them all?

Rifling through some books as we speak wink
I can't see why not. But then I don't make up the rules.

Assume yes unless someone comes on complaining.

Let's say 5 max.

Can we have some recipes for good ones aswell? I'd like to try my hand at a Curry but not enter the competition obviously due to lack of skill.
Please enter. You'll enjoy it and learn loads at the same time.

Okay, off we go then:

Fresh King Prawn Jalfrezi with mushoom rice, home made puri and deep fried crispy prawn heads.

I went for quality ingredients and it did pay off in terms of flavour and satisfaction, although my mushrooms 'bled' in to my rice making it slightly grey in colour.

Prawn heads were very crunchy and added a welcome texture to the dish.

fking out of focus the bd fking thing

Agreed that it's hard to photograph as curry could be diaorrhea on a photo couldn't it!

Another PHer who cannot count ! I thought it was 4 photos this time ?
We agreed 5 if you read above. I've taken one off so as not to benefit from an extra image.

A nicely reduced and rich-looking dish there!

Just a thought - the OP says the poll will close Tues the 1st Nov. I assume that should say start with entries in by today. Then a few days to run the poll.

Like wot we normally do.
Sorry for the confusion. If you wish to add an entry please feel free to do so up until tomorrow at 11:59pm. I will run the poll from Wednesday onwards and will end it Saturday 5th at 12pm.
