The sun is out today so it looks like it may be time to start on the Cider again.
So far this year I have tried.
Tesco's own brand, not there homeless stuff 7/10
Sainsburys 8/10
I must say im not enjoying Wrongbow as much now that they have reduced the alcohol content.
Anyways what is your cider of choice?

Last year I went down to Padstow and was partial to a pint of Rattlesnake or 6 whilst crabbing. I can't seem to find it anywhere near where I live (the cider not the crabs).
Stowford is nice but I can only manage a couple of pints for some reason.

Old Rosie I'm sure could make planes fly. I used to be quite fond of Thatchers Katy, however drinking it in the same manner as 'Olde English'- I found out quite quickly that that idea was not big nor clever.

If that's a euphemism, I suspect the cider will help with that.
One bottle down.....not to shabby at all!

Just polished off a pint of Taurus myself.

I'm not ashamed to really like it. I think I go through an annual cider-patch around this time of year. It must be the weather.

Like bread and ketchup, cider is one of those foods/drinks where I like all of it, from the very cheapest and most awful to the most expensive and posh.
I'm really enjoying it. Currently having a glass whilst cooking dinner. Tastes even better knowing that a full glass is costing me pence. Good recommendation sir! Cheers.

Some of you guys are talking about places where you can fill up large containers of Cider. That sounds fantastic to me. Where is the nearest place to Surrey I can do this?

May I suggest a trip up the M4 towards Herefordshire and Dunkertons Organic cider mill. Their stuff is pretty damn good, and if you take your own container, then it's cheap as chips!

Bought a flagon the other month and it was superb, everything else just tasted "thin" after that...
This is exactly the sort of place im looking for. Just nearer to home (Surrey).

I'm only aware of one place down your neck of the woods, you really would be much better off heading west and down the M3/4. They were in based in Croydon if memory serves me right, but I guess that was more the head office rather than the orchards/vines! Just googled them and got this for Iron Railway Vineyards, but I am going back several years to when me a mate worked down in London.
Thats great thank you for this. I may wait and see if work sends me over the 'west country'. Would be ideal to stock up on works time.

I found it in Tesco's in Addlestone. It had a 'new product' label next to it. Would be suprised if most Tesco in the area don't stock it.
