This morning I see that Rudimental went to Nando’s for dinner after winning best single at the Brits and it got me thinking. I’m aware of the “black card” that allows certain celebrates to eat in Nando’s for free, from the restaurants point of view they get there name out there through twitter etc. for a small outlay. What I can’t understand is if you are a big enough “celebrity” for them to give you one, you are obviously sufficiently well of to not want to eat there!

I’m completely indifferent to Nando’s there is nothing wrong with the place but there is nothing amazing either, I struggle to understand the fascination.
Don’t get me wrong, I like a cheap meal out, I use vouchers all the time and have a tastecard so very rarely eat out at full price just but for money I’d rather go to Spoons or similar.

I must be in the minority, as they seem an extremely successful restaurant chain; just if I was rich that would be extremely low down on my list (or spoons for that matter) but a lot of celebrities love it, is just because it’s free?

Premiership footballers in Swansea are regularly seen in Nando's. It is funny when you look up Wind street and see a Merc SLS and a 458 Spyder parked outside a stty Nando's hehe
This is kind of my point, I know we all fancy some junk / comfort food every now and again but if you can go anywhere you want regardless of cost why would you choose it. There must be somewhere better to eat than Nandos in Swansea!

It would appear that I’m the minority; I just think it’s very average and quite expensive for what it is. It just comes down to personal taste, there must be a lot of people out there that like but each to their own I suppose. If anyone can explain the attraction I’m all ears!

We aren't exactly spoilt for choice hehe
hehe It can be that bad!?! According to trip advisor Nando in Swansea is ranked 154 of 482 restaurants in the city. If I ever visit I won’t expect a culinary treat!

Its probably due to being able to eat a lot of chicken for free, if they're on a high protein diet there arent many places you can go and eat just grilled chicken and nothing else
Thinking about it, that sounds plausible . A while back the GF had us on the Atkins diet, going out to eat was impossible.

Interesting article, Rudimental are mentioned so that would explain why they went there after the Brits! Still wouldn’t be the way I’d celebrate one of the biggest achievements of my career so far!

You can’t deny, very clever marketing on their part. I wonder how many other places do similar
