Just after some ideas as to good places to eat out SE1

Roast looks good, might drop in for breakfast, any other shouts for evening dining for two?

Oh, should probably mention I'm a big meat eater whilst she is a vegetarian... I know...

That's a very good shout by the looks of it MC, plenty for a Vege rather than just the usual token offerings... added to the list.

Looks fantastic. Although perhaps a little limited for a vege.

If I'm honest I guess it also looks quite pricey and could be construed as 'trying a bit hard', this young lady is not impressed by bling.... so she says! hehe

Taz certainly a goer then. Shame to hear the report of Roast being disappointing...

Got a few nights so feel free to keep the suggestions coming

You might not get a table, but this place is great - http://www.cassecroute.co.uk/ - properly authentic.
Apparently she's been wanting to go for ages and has booked it....

I didn't mention that after a week in the Dordogne last month I've had enough rich French food to last a lifetime. Ah well, I'm sure it'll be lovely.

Enjoyed Casse Croute very much.

Lovely food, bustling atmosphere, brisk service - what's not to like!

Thanks for all the recommendations. I shall be referring back to this thread on future excursions so feel free to continue to add ideas. Will take a look at your suggestion Gruffy.
