Its probably just me but I hate the idea of being made to sit with strangers. Particularly on an anniversary or similar.
It's fine if you are going for a cheap meal like Wagamamas or similar but not a proper dinner out.
Unless I am wrong and beast is cheap. I've never been but I assumed it wasn't as it's trendy.
I completely agree with you - in general. However this is one night out of 3 and the other two will give us some privacy. The reason for choosing Beast was to do something new for both of us, and it's conveniently close to where we're staying. It looks like it should be a memorable meal, prices look on a par with the others mentioned so far. It's fine if you are going for a cheap meal like Wagamamas or similar but not a proper dinner out.

After 15 years and having me to herself for 3 days, maybe she will want some company anyway!

If you do go I'm sure you'll love the food but we actually commented it would be one of the worst date places you could ever take someone!! Good luck!
Many thanks for your detailed and well considered thoughts, they will help prepare us for the evening! We've got 3 days in each other's back pockets without the kids so this meal out will be more about the "experience" than a "date". We have quite a lot of "nice" meals but fine dining can be a bit samey so Beast sounds like it's going to be a bit different from the other meals we'll be having over the weekend.Gassing Station | Food, Drink & Restaurants | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
