Beef in a Lamb Madras??? or rather frying steak
Discussion
As the title states really, ordered the usual Lamb (not meat) Madras from the curry house in the village which we have used without any problems for 7 years.
The reason I like there Lamb Madras so much is its normally full of small around 20-25 tendure chucks of lamb prob a little bigger than a sugar cube in size. So imagine my surprise when I spoon on my madras to find 6 large, flat slabs of meat??? I proceeded to tuck in to find 1) The meat was very tuff and 2) I and the missus think it was beef. By the 3rd chuck I could not bite into it was so tough. The structure of the meat was very dense like beef.
I phoned the curry house to ask what the issue was, I was told there had been a mix up and it may have been BBQ Lamb Madras as the chuncks are bigger and tougher.
I await the "it was probably dog or cat" jokes
Has anyone else had this happen to them??
