In Belsize Park there's loads of kid friendly food places; Chimichanga, GBK, Pizza Express, Giraffe. Belgo, as mentioned above is just a 15 min walk down Haverstock Hill and you want to explore things a bit more then there's a great Japanese called Asakusa in Mornington Crescent, lovely place and great value - just a few stops from Belsize Park.
If you do Camden, what with it being down the road and your kids like street art, then make sure you check out the new project on 'Water Lane' and also the opposite side of the railway arches. Then go for nitro ice-cream at Chin Chin Laboratorists in the market
When are you going? It's my area, so if you want any specific info just ask.
