Bring a converted aldi shopper over the past 12 months, I was inidiallty impressed, but as the months go by, in realising they're ensuring the prices stay the same, but the quality of its products are bring seriously compromised.
The product I speak of is their (diplomat) green tea, which I was very impressed with, and preferred the taste to any of the well known branded stuff.
BUT after purchasing the green tea afew weeks ago, the packaging looks exactly the same, initially I'd noticed the looks of the actual tea bag had changed, then after tasting it, am disappointed to find the taste has aswel, and now leaves a horrible after taste to it 😡.

I've no doubt it's a cost saving measure, and their thick taste testers wouldn't be able to notice, but I have, and don't think I'll be buying the tea again.

I've noticed the trend with afew other products, at this rate, I'll soon be reverting back to my reliable sainsburys.

Has anyone else noticed changes in their products lately? Or am I going crazy!?

I did say, had you'd read the full post, that I'd noticed the trend with other products of theirs....

I do believe if their not careful, people will turn their backs on them, just like they've done to the bigger retailers.

I'm surprised you'd quit shopping at Aldi over a perceived issue with product quality, only to then go to Sainsburys. They're fking st and don't even have the backup afugment of being cheap like Aldi do.
