The Benefits Buffet- marked down sell by date grub!

Anyone else check out the "Benefits Buffet" at their local supermarket or shop? I know we should all have waitrose stuff helicoptered in twice a week, but I regularly nip down the local co op on the way home and pick up something for tea from the marked down food. It's also rather nice to have something that otherwise may be thrown away.

2 Herb crusted pollock fillets on Thursday for 50p!

Last night, some great breaded Dover Sole fillets for a quid and micro steam in the bag fresh veg for 10p!

I like the fact that it can be anything sitting there ready to be snapped up by a passing tightwad! I've had steaks, and pies for 50p, bags of salad for 5p and a huge box of cream cakes for 20p!

The best bit is the roll at 14p.....not 15p! They must have thought they'd be lumbered with it at 15p! Lol
