Anybody done a turkey on the BBQ?

Any tips?

I have the Weber electric rotisserie attachment. There's a good YouTube video but thought I would ask on here too.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks all.

WRT the Weber rotisserie, mine has proved a robust piece of kit. In fact I leave the extra ring on the BBQ all the time as it doubles the cooking 'height'.

I've skewered two chickens on it (sounds a bit dodgy that!), a big pork roast and am thinking about suckling pig but it'll have to be a small one.

Brief update.

I BBQed a 14.5lbs Butterball turkey and it was delicious.

Cooking time was 4 hrs, first half wrapped in foil, second half without to crisp up the skin.

I put Jamie Oliver´s cranberry butter under the skin.

Just an absolutely sensationally juicy and tasty turkey!
