Right i had a go at these at the weekend used the recipe from evilmunkey (thanks) and also got the fine and coarse cornmeal as evilmunkey suggested from morrisons less than 90p a bag and used Wikinger Bockwurst sausages, not a great selection of hotdog sausages in Morrisons.
Worked a treat wooden skewers a bit long but easily sorted.
made the batter leaving it in the fridge to cool for an hour.
decided to use the original jar to coat the sausages.
into medium hot vegetable oil.
4-5 minutes then drain on kitchen roll.
mustard and ketchup added.
Money shot tasted great - many thanks to all who helped.
