Sorry for the wait fellow competitors.

Cheese

-Make a dish incorporating cheese.

The only stipulation is that the cheese must be an integral part of the dish. So scattering grated cheddar over the top of a chilli or bolognaise, or just plonking a cheeseboard with crackers down won’t cut it. -People trying to crowbar a Ploughman’s into this competition will see a letter from the competition’s lawyer, yummy as it is.

So let the creative juices flow, souffle, cheesecake, blue cheese sauce, whatever. And when you visit your cheesemonger, note it is customary to ask him how long he’s been ‘monging’ cheese.

Normal rules apply, 3 photos max. And state what cheese you incorporated.

Closing date midnight Sunday 8th of May to give people 2 weekends.

Is the cheese 'integral' enough in this dish?

I know it's wrong but I really want to make and eat that!

-Yes.

Personally speaking, I may not vote for your dish however.

HTH.

I'm buggered as I don't like cheese except on pizza (and thats just cheese and tomato on toast).
-I wouldn't rule out voting for an authentic homemade pizza. Glistening and hot from the oven.

Deelish.

Hmmm, bored so I've been browsing places on PH I've not been to for a while

Saw this & thought I could have a go for my dinner tonight, seeing as just about all I have in the fridge is cheese, marscapone, feta, goats, cheddar, cheshire, parmesan and red leicester smile

Shall have a read of previous competitions and see if I can find the full rules smile
Nice to see you taking part Ali. smile

Nothing to it really.

We tend to limit the photos to 3.

Its supposed to be one course but you're not limited beyond that. A lunch, a starter, a pudding, a table of tapas, whatever.

Describe the dish a bit showing how you've included the nominated ingredient(s).

We tend not to vote for our own dishes when the poll comes around.

Get your entry in by midnight tomorrow!

My effort.

Not my best looking dish. But nice.

Chicken breast stuffed with smoked cheddar, spinach and lemon on a cider and cream sauce. Served with deep-fried risotto patties (with parmesan) and a mini gruyere and asparagus quiche on spinach and peas.

The little quiche thing was a step too far, as I tried to get as much fecking cheese on the plate as possible. But the deep-fried risotto and the smoked cheese and spinach stuffing was great.
