'MR. BLUE SKY: THE STORY OF JEFF LYNNE AND ELO'
Documentary directed by Martyn Atkins which gets to the heart of who singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Lynne is and how his music has had such a tremendous influence on our world. This candid and revealing story is told by Jeff himself together with collaborators and friends such as Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, Olivia and Dhani Harrison, Barbara Orbison and Eric Idle. With access to Lynne in his studio above LA, this is an intimate account of a great British pop classicist who has ploughed a unique furrow since starting out on the Birmingham Beat scene in the early 60s, moving from The Idle Race to the multi-million selling ELO in the 70s and then, with Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison and George Harrison, as a key member of the Traveling Wilburys.

Classic 1978 performance featuring a pioneering spaceship and laser display that set a precedent for concerts for decades to come. Directed by Mike Mansfield.

JEFF LYNNE ACOUSTIC: 'LIVE FROM BUNGALOW PALACE'
An intimate half-hour of Jeff Lynne and long-time collaborator Richard Tandy on piano, playing acoustic versions of many of Jeff's greatest songs including 'Evil Woman', 'Telephone Line' and 'Showdown'. Filmed in Lynne's LA studio and a companion piece to the 'Mr. Blue Sky' documentary.

Is it just me who thought Jeff Lynne came across as a big cuddly bear of a lovely guy?
The music he makes has never really been my thing, but I found myself sitting there thinking I'd love to just have an afternoon jamming with this guy, having the craic.
Thought the same. Been a life-long fan of ELO but never really knew much about Jeff Lynne. Just seemed a thoroughly decent, funny bloke. What was telling was just how well all of the Travelling Wilburys all got on with each other - given the then status of each, you'd have forgiven them or letting egos get the better of them but they all seemed like they were just a bunch of mates jamming in a garage.The music he makes has never really been my thing, but I found myself sitting there thinking I'd love to just have an afternoon jamming with this guy, having the craic.
