Now I am getting excited, some great bands announced so far though not the running order.

Who's going and what appeals?

Potential highlights for me:

Disclosure
Pixies
Black Keys
London Grammar
Arcade Fire
John Grant
Elbow
Massive Attack
Mogwai
Four Tet
Rodrigo y Gabriela

she's still convinced we are going to get shot by moody drug dealers! THere's more chance of slipping over on a carelessly discarded falafel!

My Metallica knowledge extends to justice for all and the black album, suspect they would be a great live band, plus I get to watch them in a mixed Glastonbury crowd, not a bunch of sweaty orrible Metal fans.

Can't see the appeal of Dolly Parton though

She's in the Sunday afternoon 'Legend' slot which I always enjoy. By that time, having been on a full-on festival bender since Wednesday lunchtime it is often some much needed respite to sit down and relax for a bit! The artists they've had in that slot in recent years (Kenny Rogers, Don McLean, Ray Davies to name but a few) have all been brilliant. That's the whole eclectic appeal of Glastonbury for me, you get Ccountry and Metal legends sharing the same stage a few hours apart, and if you don't like either there will always be something somewhere to suit you on another stage.
fair enough and agree, for some bizarre reason thought she was headlining, I was there at Ray Davies and as you say perfect for lying in sun with a cider on the Sunday
