seriously, if you haven't seen this, have a quick look. they're polarising opinions, personally think they're brilliant...

I must be mad then because i've been listening to them pretty much non stop since yesterday. Try some other tracks without watching the videos, they sound bloody good too.

Ive been listening to them pretty much non stop. Their album studio stuff is very polished and their live stuff is mental.

Perfect as ever, my favourite current act by a long way. Showed the faux authenticity of the other acts last night up very clearly.

Genuine charisma. That's why people don't know what to make of it, we're not used to seeing it anymore.

If that's charisma I can only confirm how glad I am we don't see it anymore.

What I make of it is a dull and derivative sound fronted by a bloke without much of a voice who jumps around and beats his chest like he's coked up for no apparent reason. I do however appreciate that is an entirely subjective viewpoint.

A bit arrogant to suggest people think it's no good because they don't 'get' it, don't you think?
Please your fking self.

No problem mate, we all have them and I'm genuinely glad you enjoy it. That's the joy with music, always something for everyone to get passionate about.

As a perfect example, you should hear the utter crap my 13 year old daughter is currently listening to on MTV...
Dont get me started. It stretches the each to their own principle to near breaking, doesn't it?

If you likedthem, look up their earlier project, "art lord and rhe self portraits". He's even more mental in that. Or his rap pseudonym "hemlock ernst".

A genuinely very talented and committed performer.

I don't think it's at all sincere, judging by his other projects & studio footage. I think he's a well seasoned performer who's hit on a very good formula. Not saying it's not great to watch & I'm happy to contradict what I said earlier in this thread but it's an act. A very good one, but an act.
He's said it's a performance thing in interviews. The idea is to put on a show and tell a story, sometimes acting out roles to support it. Sometimes the crowd reaction sweeps him up and feeds the performance in return.

It's worth repeating, if his stage antics put yu off, listen to their studio album tracks. Tey have a very cool sound and he's far less outrageous.
