Ticketmaster ******s again.....
Discussion
Yes, yes, I know it's been like this for some time now*, but why the fking fkety fk can GOOD tickets not be available for fans to buy at fking reasonable prices - IE - face fking value!!!!!
So, 9am today I'm on there refreshing away for Queen and Adam Lambert tickets (Mrs Fastra absolulely loves the crooner), page becomes live. 2 tickets lower tier please, type in the catchprase (!!!!????), brief wait and it comes back with block 108!!
You must be fking absolutely joking! 108? Right at the back.
I'm not paying £77 each to be then sat at the back!
Click to search for new tickets, same againm ste seats. Repeat 4 times more until then told nothing at all is available and shown a pop-up for Get Me In. Have a look at it, Block 115 (next to stage) £147!!!
wkERS!!!!

Did you try for resale tickets? I know I talking Nottingham and I guess your talking O2 arena but I managed without any issue getting tickets on the closes side view and row f at the Nottingham arena.
Do you mean Ticketmaster resale site 'Get me In' or something else?Get Me In had decent tickets for twice face value - £147.
The whole system is corrupt and needs sorting (and has been for a long time), so proper fans get a reasonable chance to get decent tickets. At the moment the whole thing is geared for Touts and backhanders.
...and it's Manchester I'm after.
Just looked on Get Me In.
Block 115 Row S £110 each - which is nearly reasonable for this place (someone else has same block but Row T for £198!!!)
So 2 tickets = £220 PLUS £40 admin fee (!!!!!!) - TOTAL £260!!!
fk OFF wkERS!!!!!

expect too many people with enough clout are making a mint here to deflect any meaningful input.
Spot on!The thing is that royalities from actual sold music is dying on it's arse (thank the CD for that - remember, the copy proof solution that would make piracy a thing of the past), so the only source of revenue now its touring - and they're going to milk it for all it's worth.
Fans?
fk 'em!
The crux of the mater eh....!
Some places did have pre-sales that started on Wednesday I think - usually O2 do something.
But you're right, StubHub will have tickets that are well ahead of any general release date, WatchDog covered the very subject when loads Rugby World Cup tickets were available at least 2 months before general release - I think that was it anyway.

I see.
There is no mention on the arena website when tickets go on sale for FM, but I'll give it a try sometime tomorrow if that's when it is. Thanks.
I did however spot M. Schenker playing at the Ritz in December for £30...that might do, lol.
The Mad Axeman himself - I'll be there myself for that one. There is no mention on the arena website when tickets go on sale for FM, but I'll give it a try sometime tomorrow if that's when it is. Thanks.

Saxon are on too on the 4th December - not a massive fan, but they did do a few good tunes.
It is when you consider that for a recent fans only gig at the Manchester Academy, Muse, used a credit card only system.
Where you bought the tickets as usual online with your card, then they never actually send you anything but instead you collect the ticket on the night from the box office once they process the card you paid with. Not a completely infallible system but its a step in the right direction.
Now obviously this is on a much smaller scale (2000 seats?) but at the MEN Arena, for example, you have your tickets scanned before you go in so why can't your card be scanned in the same way? To save the problem of finding your seats you could be sent a sort of dummy ticket that has seat numbers on, but you'd only gain entry once your card has been verified and linked to your dummy ticket.
Would it take that much longer?
