for anyone who hasn't seen it, get it on iplayer now. fantastic documentary moving from city to city drinking in the inluences from the artists from there. I liked the Chicago show but the Washington d.c. one was absolutely fantastic. I grew up listening to minor threat, bad brains, rites of spring and all those dischord hardcore bands that were such a big influence on grohl.

i'd recommend this series to music fans in general, not just rock fans. fantastic watch.

I think grohl is a genius. you can hear so much of what shaped him permeate through his music without sounding like he's ripped it off. i'm glad some of the more obscure stuff from bands like voivod have gained new interest from fans because of grohl's unashamed championing of what music influenced him greatly.
can't wait for episode 3!!
