Having started playing the Bass guitar a few years ago I find I'm sort of reaching my limit as to what I can do as I've a slightly manky little finger on my fretting hand which really restricts my ability. So I'm thinking of taking a foray into the world of electronic drums. As far as price goes I've got a limit of about £550. I know I'd get better value secondhand but there is very little available within 50 miles of me so it looks like I'm going to buy new.

I've been looking at the following:

Roland TD-1KV
Yamaha DTX430K
Alesis Forge

Purely for playing at home,(too self conscious to ever play in public) I've been doing the usual looking on YouTube and reading reviews, but there doesn't appear to be one which really stands out as the "best" at this price range.

Can anybody offer any thoughts or opinions on which may be the better one to get and why?

Cheers smile

I know it won't be the same as a "proper" drum kit, but with three basses, two amps and god knows what else already in our lounge space is at a premium so being smaller is a plus as far as it goes. smile

Yep, more for my money secondhand but nothing within 50 miles. I'd want to check it out in person before buying secondhand and going via eBay opens up a possible whole world of pain buying without checking it, hence going new which will give me a little more reassurance if it's faulty in some way.
