For those like me who remember the radio playing those great singles from this great album in the summer of 79, Breakfast In America was released 38 years ago today. Halcyon days indeed.

One of my (many) regrets is not getting to see Supertramp live

Crime of the Century is a big favourite of mine
I've never seen them live but wish I had.
Rudy is a great cut!

That makes me feel old!
Plus too the waitress depicted on cover is American actress Kate Murtagh who must be heading for a 100 now.
I didn't realise the waitress was an actress and a quick google reveals you were right about her age, born in 1920. Time waits for no one unfortunately.

Thank you
That reminds me of the Stones It's only Rock N roll album and I will stick that on now its a truly great track
Going back to the OP its probably the only album I listened to by them and the Logical Song has some of the best vocal bits of any record the bit where its " I know its sounds absurd" etc

It was one of them albums when it came out all the planets aligned, just left school and full of optimism, sports moped on the road, hot summer and cuts from BIA playing on the radio. Halcyon days

Literally 30 seconds after reading this, I've downloaded it from Spotify! Will play on holiday, used to like the album back in the day.
