Anyone else trying to get Foo Fighters tickets via 02 priority?

Got any tips on speeding up the whole "your request has been placed in a queue" thing? It's early doors but nervous I'm gonna miss out, as I have in the past with these things - I will cry for a week if I don't get them.

lucky for me MK isnt too far away, last time i saw the foos was after they brought out one by one and that was an awsome show, never forget dave jumping off stage running through the crowd and doin a mssive guitar solo right in the centre. absoloutley cant wait! nd to have jimmy eat world and biffy clyro supporting is just crazy! support bands are usualy rubbish! lol
You've made my day. Now its 3 bands I want to see rolled into 1 ticket.
FYI Jimmy Eat World are only playing on the Sunday. Death Cab for Cutie (and Biffy) are the support act on the Saturday.

I've got Sat tickets. I've seen JEW before but would love to see them again. So I'm still happy.

Biffy would have been great though. Win some...
My post wasn't entirely clear - Biffy is supporting on Saturday AND Sunday. DCFC are playing the Saturday only and JEW on the Sunday only.

3 hours?! Not a real fan are you.
I'm not as big a fan as i once was, that is true smile

I am going to wait to see if they announce any more dates. I have until the end of Jan to claim these tickets, so plenty of time yet. I would be slightly annoyed if i get these tickets then they announce dates for the Millennium Stadium!
FYI I've read somewhere that whilst they will be announcing more shows in the UK, they're going to be festival appearances rather than concerts.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but they only did Wembley last time and didn't tour anywhere else in the UK. Wouldn't they have announced dates elsewhere in the UK at the same time as the MK gigs? They wouldn't have had any trouble shifting more tickets, that's for sure. Foos are a big enough band that they can do one location in each country and make the fans come to them, rather than the other way around.

Finally - if you can get tickets, get them - you could always sell them on for a tidy profit if you decide not to go.

Right - you can all take the piss out of me for this but I think I've messed up.

Followed the o2 priority link to buy tickets, and it seemed to go through away but I have not recieved my confirmation email. Looking at my bank statement it seems two lots of money have gone out, one for £100 one for £200. So I dont know if I have got tickets or not!

And here comes the really stupid bit - I cant remember which site the o2 sent me to. Rang ticketmaster but they didnt recognise card details, trying to get hold of seetickets but it appears their customer services are non existant.

Does anybody know if it would definitely have been seetickets, or could it have been a different site?
If my memory serves me correctly, it was Seetickets.

Check your junk mail folder in case the confirmation email got put in there perhaps. Also - if you check your bank statement shouldn't it state who the £100/£200 payments were made to?

I went on Sunday. My word, what a gig - Dave Grohl really knows how to pull off a great show. Think it's up there with one of the best I've ever seen, including RATM at Leeds few years ago.

I did however lose my wallet, but some kind soul picked it up, found my business cards in it and posted it to my office. Thank you, whoever you are!

Indeed, but surely that in itself would lead your band to be very big, purely by association.

They are fecking excellent though. Any good live performances/acoustic shows i should be hunting out?
The Skin and Bones album (acoustic performance), if you don't have it already.

I cannot stop listening to their latest album.

It's bloody Brilliant.
I've always been a huge Foos fan, but I reckon it's pretty average (although nowhere near as bad as Sonic Highways). Run is a great tune but I've not really taken to the rest of it yet.

Saw them at Glastonbury earlier this year and have seen them at MK Bowl on the Wasting Light tour, so think I'll give this one a miss.

I'm in the same camp as you , apart from run it just sounds like a load of b sides chucked together.
The B-sides description is pretty apt. I think even with some of the most legendary bands there comes a time when they just kind of run out of good ideas/inspiration and any new material becomes a limp parody of the great stuff that's gone before. I would have thought after the Sonic Highways abomination they would have spent longer on the latest album - it's not like they're under pressure to release new material.

Best of luck to everyone trying for tickets, even if the last couple of albums aren't great (IMO) they still put on a fantastic show! Well, except when they inevitably trot out Cold Day In The Sun, that's when you go for a tactical mid-show piss/go to the bar.
