Camper with offroad capabilities?

What's out there? My Dad's mate has got a Mitsubishi 4x4 thing with a single bed and a stove in.. Not quite sure what it is but It's a smart little motor, winch, roof rack etc and he plans on driving it to Russia!

I know people use 110 Defenders with an airbed in the back.
Just interested to see if anybody does any kind of travelling in their 4x4 and if so what kind of set up they use. Pictures would be great!

After searching 'Delica' that's what he has! Smart ol' thing, mud tyres, roofrack etc.. He loves it and reckons it's pretty capable offroad!

You could go anywhere with those two, If there wasn't room to fit through you'd just make room...
There's some real smart motors out there, the skys the limit when you've got the money I suppose!

Love both of those last two, not sure I could decide between the two! Love old VW's so that sycro appeals majorly..
