Pick up truck choice

Apologies if this is not the appropriate forum, but it seemed the obvious choice to me. I am after some opinions on Pick ups. I am after something that will tow a car on a trailer with ease, can carry a healthy payload of tools, spares etc into the bargain, has a crew cab and is as comfortable as possible for some long distance work. I do a spot of rallying, so need something to take car and gear plus people with ease and comfort without getting into the realms of huge American beasts. I am a newcomer to pickups, but the Toyota Hilux 3.0 invisible looks a possible contender, but open to suggestions if you know otherwise. What do you think?
