2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 2.7 CRD

I have my Jeep serviced every year at a local garage, however whilst driving around recently the ' Perform Service' beep & message has come up on the overhead display. Obviously I can press reset to clear it but if I stop the car , turn it off then on again as if I was starting a new journey it comes back on again. I was wondering if anyone new a quick trick to clear it permanently without having to take it to a main dealer? Any help with this matter would be much appreciated.
