Just wondering how much would (if it would sell) a 2009 landcruiser 79 series 4.5 turbo diesel v8 ute make in uk ? Would there be market,

Bull bar
Steel tray
Lightforce spot lights
Dual battery
Mud tyres
Factory snorkel

Asked similar question before about a patrol but have changed to a landcruiser now considering bringing it back but not going to if I've something that worth $35k here and valueless in uk

Thanks

i think there would be plenty of interest. The combination of a utility vehicle but with a large bullet proof engine is what most people would think of as a perfect defender they never made.

what would it cost to buy and import?
they are quite expensive, being almost $65k brand new for a gxl, a gxl has such luxuries as a centre console and electric windows, so like a defender in that respect. The depreciation on them is very soft, a 09 would be worth $40k still,

mine has arb bulbar, lightforce lights, dual battery, mud tyres, winch I’d be happy to get in the region of GBP15k for it.

Would have about 120,000km, on it by time gets back.

As a 4.5 V8 Turbo Diesel Engine, same as the 200 series but single turbo.

Wonder what kind of interest there would be

Hi I can import to ireland duty and vat and vrt free as it's a change of residence I've no idea about uk regs but assumed if it was in irish plates it's straight forward and low
Cost to import to uk then

Hi i was wandering whether you had imorted your ute in to the UK, i know it was a while ago but i quite like them.
Cheers Andy
no next summer, would there be a market in the uk? there is a dual cab for sale in Ireland at the moment. Silver around 80,00km steel tray and few other bits, thinks is a 2013 but its gxl

the only thing putting me off is you could be stuck with it? no market to sell it too

You'll absolutely sell it- 100%

I'd buy it!
I'll keep you in mind !
What you think it be worth in uk
2009 say 180,000km
Usual arb stuff on it

Only thing I'm hesitant about is if I bring it back get sick of it , I can't sell it and access the money to use for something else

What you reckon it would be worth there?

You’ve asked the same questions repeatedly but don’t seem to like most of the answers. One thing to consider here in the UK is the current trend for diesels to be made the next cash cow, if it’s not Euro 6, it’s going to get hammered more in any of the CAZs that are popping up in a city near you soon.Plus the extended ULEZ, on street parking permits and council car parks etc etc. Non Euro 6 diesel sales here in the UK are falling through the floor.
Not exactly , no one has given an actual pricing , which is fair enough , how have I just not liked the answer ?

This particular person expressed an interest in it , in querying where he'd see the pricing of it , don't see what the problem with that is

I don't "not like their answers ". I'm keen to see if people thing it's worth £5 or £50k this guy expressed an interest

You might also like to notice I didn't re activate the thread

The interest in it would be in the commercial rural farming forestry mining sector I'd imagine not sure if those charge would matter so much then ?

Well i seriously looked at buying on in Oz and shipping it back, then registering it here.

all in i thought i was in for £45k

having said that i wouldn't import a 120k mile version and if i was importing i'd be choosing the exact spec i wanted.

Not having see the truck or knowing the exact spec its difficult to give a value, if it was well looked after, had all the right kit (ARB bumpers, sliders, wheels etc,) then £30k - £35k would seem reasonable.

If you put it up for £25k you'd sell it immeditately i suspect.

A good condition prepped 80 series can make £12-15k, you can't find a v8 200 for less than £28k, £30k plus is more realistic for a 200.

You may find the right buyer (especially on the continent) and get £40-£50k for it.
Thanks for that those numbers are interesting , least it's not a complete write off in value can recover a lot if not all of it

Most of em here have high kms in uk terms they still want $35k for ones with 300,000km on em. They're view and our view on kms is a lot diff.
The residuals on em here on anything landcruiser is a ridiculous doesn't seem to be much different there
