Army Razor wire across byway, Salisbury Plain
Discussion
Guys, what is the form here, I was out on the mountain bike at the weekend, cycling along a byway from west chisenbury, at the top of the hill the track passes a barn that the military use for training, only this time they had surrounded their camp with razor wire which blocked the track.
I understand that they need to be able to train but there are huge areas that have no public access, the wire was next to a sign that showed the track as a byway, have they ignored it or are they within their powers?

Where about exactly? A lot of the tracks are restricted byeways and I believe the Military have the right to remove access. I am on the other side of the Plain at Shipton Bellinger and am often out your way on my Mtn Bike
Its the track underneath "west chisenbury" on your map, there is a barn part way along it before it reaches the perimeter track which the army use for training.Gassing Station | Off Road | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
