Early Series' values - still on the up?

I have been looking for an early lwb series for the past couple of months and nothing has really caught my eye apart from the one linked above.
However I can't quite get my head around the price. I can well imagine someone paying the money if it looks as good in person but even my man maths is struggling to balance this one. Thoughts?

Thanks for the links - time for a rethink perhaps. I prefer the look of the early series 2s with the lights behind the grill so might have to settle for a short one instead or get really inventive with my justifications.
If all you want is a good 109", there's plenty for a fraction of that money.
Just as restored, not as rare, not much over half the price : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172391247078
Tidy original, third of the price : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191964266970
Good solid usable, 10% of the price : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272423932182

You're looking at a massive collector premium with that. It's a bloody rare beast to start with, and it's been very nicely and expensively restored. Even then, is it good value? Probably not. But what would it cost to get one done?I have been looking for an early lwb series for the past couple of months and nothing has really caught my eye apart from the one linked above.
