looking for somewhere for tomorrow night with amazing food and some wow factor. busy but not crowded. helps if it's marina/palm end of town.

lol@james. but yes the company will be a lot easier on the eye than my usual rotund norn' irish dining companion.

no specific type, as long as it's different, top notch, and no bustle. was thinking nobu before i looked at the prices!

the thai at the creek hyatt would be in with a shout but too far. i love toro toro for food but no idea what its like on a thurs, grosvenor seems to always attract nobbers.

eta: observatory is 80s chrome hell. surprised at you rich!

got caught up in clios, integras and smashing my raybans so forgot to book a table until lunchtime. big mistake!

got in at maya and i'm on the cancellation list at zuma as back up. thai kitchen, toro etc. all booked out with full reserve lists. ah well as least i can walk there in 5mins!

been reading some good food reviews though. has anyone tried scene at pier 7 yet? i've been to simon rimmer's restaurant's in manchester and they are great.

the rivington was very disappointing for me, didn't rate the steak at all.

been tempted by steak tartare lately. something i've always wanted to try but haven't due to the perceived quality of the establishment.

any tartare fans here recommend me the best in town?
