I'm looking for a really nice setting for a meal later this year as a celebration whilst we're out there.

I've provisionally booked Zengo at Le Royal Meridien as it looks a really nice setting. Another option I've thought about is Bateaux Dubai. Any other suggestions? I'm not messing about with At.Mosphere or anything like that as the mrs isn't into neuvelle cuisine / anything with foam.

Assuming this is when it is cool enought to sit outside, (and not too cold to sit outside - I went in January and it was cold!), an alternative I would recommend, book cocktails/champagne in the Jetty Lounge, then get them to book the boat across to the sister hotel with your meal reservation and eat at the 101 restaurant.

Sounds like a good option actually although my original plan was going to be 101 for drinks first then food at one of the indoor restaurants. We're staying in the marina and it'll be National Day on the day so I want to stick close by just in case the traffic is mental. I was there a few years ago and it was insane but couldn't remember what night of the week it fell on. Jetty Lounge could be good just in case there are fireworks on at the Burj Al Arab.

National Day you say?

Then be within walking distance. The Marina will be gridlocked.
I will in this case...i've already got a reservation at Zengo as it's across the road - we can do 101 another night.
