So,

Asterix is leaving,

OilyDan and Yorky have fked off to better climes but still like to come and tease the dubai nipple enough for us to get a semi on,

A boatload of newbies have come in buying v8's only to find fuel prices have risen to a whopping 22 pence per litre,

and the rest of us are still misanthropic bds.

Any chance of a proper social evening this side of christmas? Answers on a beermat.

Still around though Phil!

Yes, I am enjoying the more "open" life of Peru, but sadly that will be coming to an end shortly when I move to West Africa!

I may see if I can get back to Dubai, in between but doubt it.
west africa = super fun!

i'm away to senegal tomorrow, hopefully a short trip then onto somewhere nicer. back 2nd week in october.

there are meets but i'm not a fan of the 'scene' as it were.

there's a decent group of us [frankie, jase, sam, h, ct84] who attend most trackdays and evolve autocross events. then theres rich and ian who are into race and rally management/spannering.

the others i dont see so often. shame as the last proper night we had [years ago, karting and the pub] was a lot of fun

tbh the kia is not a bad car. sure its uninspiring and boring with acres of plastic inside, but nothing from the EU could touch it as this price point. its the kind of car you'd recommend to your mum. safe, practical and with an amazing warranty.

where in west africa are you headed?

Was out the night but now can't be until after we've sewn up next weekends race. Perhaps aim for months end?

Given the underwhelming response I've got myself double booked, our South American office are here and in a fiesta mood. Let me know what's happening though as I can prob squeeze in both
