Gents,

So I have sold the Raptor and am now looking to the next workhorse, I'm having naughty thoughts about an C63 looking at a 2009-2010 vintage so pre-face lift.

Does anyone have experience running a C63, or know someone who does?

Any suggestion of the best place to get a pre purchase inspection done?

Thanks,

Luke,

Thanks for your insight, I have it tossed up between the M3 and the C63. I have owned a RS Audi (RS$) when I was in the UK and it was a pleasure to own but as you say the 4wd make it a bit tame, not a problem in the UK as it was welcome after driving the TVR especially in the wet.

I am giving myself a 100k budget so the newer C63 are out of budget, I need to drive a C63 and see if I can get on with the slushy auto. It will be my daily and having the Clio as a track car I'm thinking I can live with the auto. If not then I will fall back to the M3 either DCT or manual.

Thanks for the PPI garage recomendations, I'd defo get an inspection done prior to any deal.

Sam

Mr Tourette,

The Raptor sold in a couple of months, lots of last price type phone calls - eventually sold to a local (who was looking or a car that hadn't been owned by a local...)

As Shirt rightly said my Mrs will be getting a SUV/4x4 once her Evora sells for dog walking, race car towing duties.

Shirt,

I had looked at the Jags, but I can't say I'm a fan maybe I need to drive one.

Re the imported C63s I have seen them on dubizzle, I have yet to see any with the Performance Pack - from what I have read the C63 needs the LSD.

I never had any problems with Premier motors, had a few bits done under warrenty with no questions.

Re the German servicing I know there are a number of Merc & BMW specialists in Dubai, I'm hoping to find good service in AD also.

Shirt, I do like the M3 - the problem I find is the lack of driving roads here. I get frustrated driving the Evora for the same reason, the Clio satisfies driving thrills on track leaving me the opertunity for the C63 to waft around in make large 11 and go sideways when I feel like being silly.
