In response to member feedback the CSCC has decided to offer specific classes in 2015 for the 2.5 and 3 litre 4 cylinder transaxle Porsches. So in CSCC Future Classics there will be a single class for all 924 Turbo, 2.5 litre 924S & 944, and 3 litre 944 S2 race cars, whilst in CSCC Modern Classics there will be a single class for 944 S2 and 968 race cars.

In addition, the 944 Turbo will be eligible for both Future and Modern Classics within the normal classes.

2 litre 924 will remain eligible for the Pre 1981 <2 litre class.

All other Porsches will remain eligible within the existing relevant Series and Classes.

These new classes replace the Dunlop Porsche series which didn't really take off this year, and it's hoped that even more 924/944/968 racers will be attracted to the CSCCs brand of good value racing than is already the case. The 4 cylinder transaxle Porsche now have their own pots to fight for and win.

We are not going to differentiate at the moment; we will see how it goes and what the take up is. The same goes for the S2 and 968 split in Modern Classics but in MC Luke Johnson proved how competitive an S2 can be against the 968.

We appreciate that the 2.5 litre cars will be at a disadvantage in FC, but they were anyway in the existing 2 litre to 3 litre FC class. However, The 2.5 litre cars still have the possibility of entering the 1800-2500 cc class of MC where they can be competitive, although I was the only one that took up that option in my 924S up to now.
