Hi guys, I'm about to ask something that seems pretty obvious, but thought I'd ask anyway to be sure.

The Mrs appeared looking rather sheepish the other day with something behind her back, it turned out she had been cleaning in my wardrobe and knocked my helmet onto the tiled floor...it now has these hairline cracks in the surface which to me is an automatic "buy new helmet" situation...but what I was going to ask is, is the helmet likely to be of any use for things like trackdays or karting or has it truely seen its last event?

That's outside my level of acceptable damage, and I tend to push things a little.
Thanks, worse still there are some on the other side too, they seem to form a circle around where the light bulb reflection is suggesting it has deformed on impact and popped back up.

Do you reckon it'd be allright for karting still or is it truely the Knackers yard for a 1 year old helmet. frown I did my first races in it and won my first race in it so I'm not throwing it away.

...I live out in the Middle East. I don't have time to go through all that lot, I'd ordered another within 30min of the Mrs telling me, I have a race in 2 weeks so need it asap. Rallynuts to the rescue!

Easy to say in hindsight, but I keep mine on the floor for this reason. smile
Actually I'd not thought of that, I have stuff on the bottom shelf that wouldn't get damaged if dropped like boots and overalls and fireproof clothing but the hans and helmet sit up top...stupid in hindsight!

Is the car all ready Mark for the 19th & 20th? Do you know if we are racing during the day or at night that weekend as we need to book flights and hotels?
Oi givover using my name, people think my name is Toby round these parts, not that I like Toblerones!

I had an informal confirmation it is a daytime race. Tried to get recent formal confirmation and a schedule but as usual the disorganisation at the QMMF is strong. I'd strongly suspect it'll be a daytime affair buddy.

Car is all ready. Whether they DQ me or not for another race is upto them. I'd have liked to test the car but the last 2 trackdays were cancelled because they don't want to do any work and have feeble excuses.
