Hi, I'm looking for some help regarding a head gasket for the VW Brabham engine in my Ralt RT3.
I'm desperately trying to find a gasket for a 1600 head, more common and readily available are gaskets for 1800 heads.
The Goetze p/no that we need is: 30 - 023883 - 10
This p/no is pressed into the 'exposed' tab of the gasket.
This gasket has a thickness of 1.75 mm and suits an 83 mm bore.
The p/no of the Cyl hd gasket to suit a 1.8 L cyl head is: 30 - 023883 - 00
Another no for a 1.8 L cyl head gasket is: 30 - 027257 - 20
Unfortunately 1.8 L gaskets are unsuitable for our 1.6 L Head.
Have any of you learned folk got ANY idea where i can obtain one of these?
Due out at Thruxton over Easter so getting desperate!!

Bert, We couldn't source a 1600 head gasket anywhere so have adapted a 2.0ltr gasket. Just putting it all back together now so all being well will be there! Have 2 testing sessions booked so hopefully we'll make it in time, PM me as if we don't make it you might be interested in taking these off me? Come and say hello whatever, car no 20.
