Hello folks, just wanted to put some final details up here now that the website is back up - www.raceofremembrance.com

The event is at Anglesey Circuit over remembrance weekend - starting Friday November 6th and ending Sunday November 8th.

This is a sell out event - all 45 available grid spots have been sold for months, the track is going to be heaving with cars all weekend long. There is a real mix too, have a look at the entry list here: http://raceofremembrance.com/the-teams.html

It is a total not-for-profit event, devised, organised and run by Mission Motorsport co-founder Jon Earp and a massive team of volunteers and supporters including Mazda, the folks at Anglesey/Trac Mon, 750 Motorclub and many more. Every last penny of any profit made (and we're not sure there will be a huge pot of cash at the end!) is going to MM. Every team is paying their way, no freebie entries and nobody taking the piss. Couldn't be better nor more transparent.

The format is as follows - the race specific bits in bold:

Friday

Morning free practice
Afternoon qualifying

Saturday

Supercar Saturday - passenger rides in a massive mixed bag of exotica
Celebrity Tuk Tuk race - this will be ace smile
Race START at 1600hrs - 3 hours of night racing before the race is neutralised and followed by
RoR Rock - a number of bands and a massive party in the paddock - all undercover in the horribly expensive 120m tent
Firework display
General buffoonery

Sunday

Race starts/resumes at 0900
The Service - as per last year, an incredibly moving and as far as we know unique element to any race - at 1045hrs the race STOPS and a full remembrance service is conducted in the pitlane, open to everyone, supported by a Welsh male voice choir, all the Mission Motorsport lads and our military padre presiding.
At 1115hrs the race resumes and continues through to 1000km - expected to end at around 1600hrs

Sunday evening

A bit of a wash up party with all teams getting solidly on the lash until the small hours.

Spectators access is £10 for the entire weekend, including all racing, parties, fireworks, remembrance service, the lot. All under 16s are completely free. Everyone is welcome, all garages and pitlane is open for the entirety, it's the most hands on spectating you can possibly get.

Come and get involved.

Bump on this, any PHers attending to compete or spectate?

It's going to be a fantastic event. Frantic but fantastic smile

If any of you do make it come and drop in to garage 6 - Shorsec Racing. We're running 2 Toyota GT86s and currently prepping like mad with just 19 days to go...

Been looking at Bayliss's photos of the Scuzzle Mazda, looks like a Mad Max car!

I'll write up some bits of our weeked, a combined Shorsec Racing & Mission Motorsport entry with 2 Toyota GT86 factory cars.

Still recovering. Best weekend of my life.

Love this shot of me finishing my night stint.

Here's the film that Toyota had made over the weekend about our team and the wider Mission Motorsport team and work.

I'm utterly bowled over.
