So who is racing in this next year? http://www.750mc.co.uk/formulae/club-enduro.htm

Looks like a good idea and the entry fee is a bargain considering the track time you get.

Planning on running a BMW Compact which will hopefully be reasonably competitive in class C.

Being used to single make series I am hoping it will attract a big enough grid and have similarly matched cars so there will still be some pretty close racing rather than everyone effectively running round in their own class.

Are you racing in the compact cup this year? Shame they are not still running with the 750mc or you could have done both the same weekend and reduced the transport.
I was in the Scottish series but instead will be making select appearances at English rounds next year as racing Knockhill 7 out of 8 meetings gets a tad boring.

I did the Race of Remembrance this year which really got me interested in endurance racing, liked it much more than the flat out 12 manic laps and you're done of the compact races. Also working out the cost per hour of endurance racing versus shorter races is a bit of an eye opener!

The Club Enduro seems to fill a bit of a gap in the market, I can find no other endurance series (which to me is a minimum 2 hour length) in the UK that you don't need have a more expensive/faster car to run in. I was looking at Britcar but the compact isn't even fast enough to qualify for their slowest class. The FunCup looks pretty good especially as all the cars are the same and is reasonable value for money when you calculate cost per hour versus compact racing but obviously your tracktime per weekend is higher so the cost per weekend is higher also. I'm looking at the Snetterton and/or Anglesey weekends to see if I could arrange a drive. My theory being a weekend with 6 hours of racing will give you a lower cost per hour of tracktime than the weekends with 4 hours of racing.

Really enjoyed it we'll be back for the next one, possibly with some upgrades as 142bhp/ton just couldn't get us any higher than 4th in class C even after deducting the few delays we had. Despite not expecting the noisy gearbox to last the distance it was a pretty trouble free race and we only dropped 50s in total from issues and got to enjoy a bit of on track fighting with a couple of MR2s and the MG.

The best bit is the cost to time on track ratio is the lowest I've ever experienced!
