Transponder needed

Started racing at the end of last year and I just hired a transponder for those last few races (although at the last race the time keeper got in a huff as he said their box of 40 transponders were for emergency hire, I would have thought it would make sense for him to hire as many out as he could every race)

I have a minimum of 4 races this year so given that that is £120 worth of hire I should get one really.
Where is best to find an older none subscription one now though?
