After I received a quote from ATL for the custom fuel cell tanks we`re about to use on a GTR build I felt the strong urge to look for alternatives and found "Fuel Safe" in the US. Apparently they already built custom fuel cells for an Ultima which you can find here:
www.fuelsafe.com/catalog-2011/Page 18.html
Anybody here who knows about them or even uses these cells?

Hey Bob, thanks for the reply - tried to send you a PM but the email system appears to be down right now. Could you please post the contact details here?

Thanks to Bob (RAT GTR) I found a company in the US who builds the fuel cells way cheaper than ATL for instance. They have all the accessories I need for the modification (internal collector tanks with submerged Bosch 044, etc). I hope it`s ok if I post a pic of a custom Ultima fuel cell:

I finally received the first "prototypes" of the racing fuel cells for the GTR we`re about to build. I must say that the overall quality is outstanding, the guys I dealt with were extremely helpful and experienced with this type of tank (surprise).
The fuel cells each have a built in catch tank with a Bosch 044 fuel pump that feeds the outlet on the inside. The tanks are connected via a D-16 connection in order to keep them level although that is not a big issue due to the 2 pumps feeding one fuel rail individually. On top you can see the sender unit (which can be calibrated to factor in the shape of the tanks), the tank vent (D-6) with the fuel pump wiring next to it and the filler neck that can be cut to the desired length. On the bottom of the neck there`s an aluminium housing which acts as a check valve in case of a roll over.

They do look cool but I dread to think what they have cost you.

The cells are of the highest quality with a seamless coating and have a FIA homologation number. The entire setup cost about 50% more than the factory fuel system with surge tank etc (which I admit works perfectly fine for all applications, these fuel cells where built after customer demand).
