Removable dash

Has anyone cut out the front of the dash and replaced it by a removable panel giving easier access to the wiring behind?

As I am a member of "The Old Gits Club", I was thinking of this as an option in order to avoid having to do contortionist actions to get below and behind the dash in case I need to intervene there.

Ah, I see that this idea is picking up interest. I also recall the thread in which all the dash/cockpit was removable. Not wanting to go to that extent, a large opening to get to behind the dash looks indeed a suitable idea.
