Hi all

I am in the process of fitting my Dash 2 pro unit, which I know others have also used in place of the standard instruments. I wanted to simply mount it using a suitable bracket without any cowling/binnacle, in keeping with a minimalist racing look I am trying for interior wise. I have been worrying a little about reflections, but reckon it will be ok.

Next worry, though, is IVA. Any thoughts out there on whether not fitting a cowling would be a problem?

Many thanks.

If it is fitted behind the steering wheel then it should be OK. If it is in the middle of the dash then it will likely fail 'sharp edges'.

If it does not have a cowl then you will get reflections. I have the Stack dash and had to make the cowl even larger to resolve the issue.

Thanks Steve.

Why not something like in the Aquila SR1 ?

I like that! That's pretty much where it's going, with the key difference being that I am mounting it to the dash behind the steering wheel and not the wheel itself.

Not much room for grip in that picture other than in the track biased quarter to 3, though!

Where did you source your cowl from Abbo?
