Silly question, but should my side skins have come with this radiused relief around the side tubing or am I supposed to produce it somehow? If so, how does one neatly and accurately do so?

Figured I'd ask before beginning the fitting process…

Mine are flat, too. That's the puzzler: leave them flat (it's not clear that they'll sit down properly over the side tubing) or try to produce the factory's radiused bend shown in the photo?

Factory response:

This radiused relief isn't required. It will seat 100% OK without it.
When we factory build a car here our technician always does this as
he's a talented guy and likes to use his skills :-)

But it isn't required and most people wouldn't be able to do it unless
they have some panel beating type skills. He uses a folder to
begin the process.
The new updated chassis roll cage does have larger diameter tubing than
previously but
it will still seat fine without this radiused relief.
I just got up, checked my email, and found a version of that response from Richard. So, it should fit, even over the larger tubing of the uprated chassis. Hopefully. :-)

Worst case scenario there might be a slight bulge in panel but shouldn't be noticeable.

Would you mind sending me some pics of your panel once it is riveted in place so I know what to expect when fixing mine?
Sure, though you're welcome to follow along on one or both of these sites:
