If your planning on doing European trips then consider the clearance on and off ferries and Euro tunnel. I believe a few have had problems. Please share your experiences here about that as I may do an European Tour next year. I have a carbon mods carbon foam sandwich splitter. Very nice and stiff material, until you ding it on a curve then its internal foam stiffness has gone frown However scraping on marginal ground clearance on slopes was ok. Mine sweeps back to the front wheels and has a support inside the clip for it. I just live with the fact that I can't open the front clip as much, does not bother me.
hi i too have a carbon mods splitter and was thinking of putting a ply base on the bottom bonding them together as some have done, was thinking of 12mm shuttering ply ,still not happy with the ground clearance tho,am looking at the ss mod cures all problems me thinks-at what cost i dont yet know?.have noticed it fits higher giving more ground clearance also,am planning a trip on the ferries also so am a bit concerned thanks for all reply's jmwram
