I was planning on mounting buttons to control my Dash 2 on the steering wheel. Any ideas on cable routing would be much appreciated - as I can't see a way of doing this without the cable getting tangled around the steering column when turning to full lock.

I've seen the wireless kits, and would like to see if there is a wired solution first.

Many thanks.

I used a coiled cable on a Radical with a removable steering wheel and an RS Components connector on the dash. Worked well and looked ok.
Thanks Racing Roj - did you just allow the coiled cable to wrap itself around the steering column then (which I think must be the only without some sort of two part connector)?

Many thanks for the responses all. I'm going to stick with the steering wheel mounted buttons (pic of little plate to hold the buttons I have made from some scrap carbon fibre sheet attached) and route the cable through the steering column - it's possible to drill a hole in the centre of the steering wheel boss mounting face, and then another hole further down the column (which is a tube).

The plan is to use a curly cable to connect the wires running through the column to the Dash 2 wires, with this being sufficiently long so as not to restrict the column as it is turned from lock to lock - fingers crossed this will be ok.

I'm waiting for an extended column from the factory, so have had opportunity to do a test drill on the standard length one I bought before deciding on the stalks.

Obviously very conscious about the size of hole, but it doesn seem to have taken any noticeable strength out of the column.

Not sure about the multi coloured buttons at the moment - looking a bit like smarties...
