We hope that all Ultima customers and enthusiasts had an enjoyable Easter break! We’ve got a new announcement for you all which will soon be spreading around all of the motoring press during this week:
Ultima Sports Ltd, British manufacturers of the world record holding Ultima GTR and Ultima Can-Am supercars, are pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new updated model today called the Ultima Evolution which is available in both Coupe and Convertible form. The Ultima Evolution Coupe and Ultima Evolution Convertible replace the Ultima GTR and Ultima Can-Am which are both now discontinued.
The Ultima Evolution retains the same timeless Le Mans Group C inspired body shape as the Ultima GTR and Ultima Can-Am but is a vastly improved and modernized supercar in every sense. The superior Evolution model takes the Ultima to even greater levels of fit, finish, quality, safety, driver comfort, usability, practicality, handling finesse and performance. Many of the enhancements found on the new Ultima Evolution model have been stimulated by worldwide customer demand and feedback. The powerplant for the Ultima Evolution is the fuel injected LS Chevrolet V8 engine and the factory offers over 15 different power level options ranging from 350bhp for the base model up to the top of the range 1020bhp model.
The first Ultima Evolution Coupe production factory built demonstrator flagship model as pictured is equipped with the monstrous 1020bhp and 920ftlbs torque supercharged Chevrolet LS V8 official engine option delivering a power to weight ratio of over 1050bhp/ton which will really shake up the supercar scene and take the performance envelope of the Ultima to the next level. The new 1020bhp Evolution model has already been tested by the factory and has recorded a road legal 0-60mph time of 2.3secs, 0-100mph of 4.9secs with 0-150mph taking a mere 8.9 seconds! Looking good, sensible upgrades, a few old builders can probably see some of their cars in those photos......
Do those bags really fit into the luggage containers fully packed? They look massive in the photos...
Not sure the steering wheels will be to everyone's tastes, still think you should offer column stalks as an option.
Plus why a left hooker on UK plates?
Hopefully our cars go up in value as classics!
Well done
Graham

Audi TT air vents, S2000 start button, wireless steering wheel controls, illuminated ally switch gear etc etc...
I'm having a lot of deja-vu
Seriously though, the 'Evo' model looks great. Nothing revolutionary, but a series of improvments which bring the cars up to date.
Well done all at the factory - just when I've sold the Mustang and find myself 'toy' free too!!

It's all good Richard and his team obviously listen to his customers something that a lot of manufacturers could learn from. I don't own an Ultima but have followed this company from it's birth, an excellent supercar British designed and built by a company with forward thinking, long may it be the great success that it is.

I was thinking the same There's some lovely bits in there that I'd like to add to my car all the same though. I might be making a bit of a shopping list for the factory.... While I do though, I've got a few questions....
Does the front clam have a new hinge to allow it to be opened wider without the splitter hitting the floor?
What is the % air flow through the new mesh?
Looks like new brake master cyls, what their spec vs the old ones?
Any reason for sticking with 18" rears? A 19x12 would give a wider / cheaper range of Porsche rubber.... Have you tried different sized rears?
On the whole, I think the updated car looks brilliant, I look forwards to seeing some mag reviews & new Top Gear lap vid

Wow absolutely fantastic. I'm looking at all those possible options that I can add to my GTR. Its good to see that you have looked at whats been available from other after market options. Why should those good options not be available from the factory?
Came along after Stig built his 2 cars, it would be good to see you build one of these. I might still build one myself yet.

Well done Factory, brilliant! I am pleased I made a service appointment the other day for nine months plus time now. My have to investigate adding to the list the engine bay grills, CF brake vent slots & door handles together with suspension / wishbone upgrades. Exciting times for all.
looks fantastic guys... well done.... love the wheels and the lots of exciting colours..
now the one question, Will all these upgrades fit excisting gtr/ canams? and have you replaced the fiat door buttons?
and what are the prices please.
also is the front splitter still part of the front clam or fixed to the chassis?
its nice to see the open front brake ducts again (whoops mine has those already thankyou)
Are the rear wing supports just taller and is the clam re-enforced to accept the higher load having the wing higher? how much extra downforce is there?
